The marble relief represents the Mother of God as standing among angels, with the child Christ in her arms. The original artwork is preserved in the Museo Nazionale del Bargello and was made during the artist Florentine period around 1470. The cast of the artwork was ordered by the museum from Giuseppe Lelli in 1909. The copy was transferred from the Museum of Fine Arts to the Budapest Secondary School of Visual Arts in 1921 as a deposit. Probably lost, the current whereabouts of the artwork are unknown.
