The figure was a copy of the Virgin from the upper part of the Bordesholm altarpiece, now in the Schleswig Cathedral. The carved retable was made by the German woodcarver Hans Brüggemann in 1521. The artwork was transferred from the Museum of Fine Arts to the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (former Royal Joseph University) in 1923 as a deposit. Probably lost during World War II, whereabouts are unknown.
