The sculptor and architect Tommaso Rodari worked mostly in the neighborhood of Milan and Como, and most probably he made the architectural and sculptural design of the main facade of the San Lorenzo Church in Lugano. The Museum purchased the whole copy of the West entrance of the San Lorenzo in 1907, the plaster cast was installed in the Renaissance Hall in 1909. Probably lost during World War II, the current whereabouts of the artwork are unknown.
