The statue of the Virgin decorates the trumeau of the northern transept portal of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris (built by Jean de Chelles in the 1240s). Commissioned by the museum in 1909, the cast was made by August Gerber in Cologne. It was exhibited in the Romanesque Hall in 1910. Probably lost during World War II, current whereabouts of the artwork are unknown.
